What to do in the case of loss of baggage
If you think your bag has been lost or accidentally taken by someone else contact the Lost and Found Office ground floor (Arrivals), with the baggage receipt that was attached to your ticket. The staff at the office will initiate proceedings for baggage retrieval. If your airline deems it necessary, you will be provided with a kit containing essential items and baggage reclaim will be carried out.
If your airline uses the World Tracer baggage tracing system, you can visit their web site to use this system, enter your reference number and surname for information regarding your baggage.
By digiting the according PIR (Property Irregularity Report) number and your surname, you will be constantly updated on your property recovery status:
Delays and damage
Before exiting the Baggage reclaim area, please report to Lost & Found Office for regular claim lodging.
The Passenger Rights Charter provides for compensation in the case of ruined, damaged, lost or delayed baggage on a flight operated by an airline in the EU. Requests for compensation must be made within 7 days of baggage arrival in the case of damage to a registered bag and within 21 days for delayed receipt of baggage.
