THE NETHERLANDS

26/01/2021 To meet the needs of passengers departing to Amsterdam, who, due to a very recent provision by the Netherlands Government, must show the negative results of a rapid anti-Covid antigenic swab carried out in the four hours prior to the departure of the flight, Bologna Airport has activated a temporary paid swab service, open everyday starting tomorrow 27 January from 3.00 am until the departure of the flight.

The quick antigenic swabs will be carried out by the company Air Medical of Turin in a mobile structure located near the ground floor Main Entrance of the passenger terminal, inside del parking P1. Passengers departing for Amsterdam can present themselves directly at the buffer point, without a reservation, showing their ID and the travel document.
The result of the swab will be available in 15 minutes and in the event of a negative result, the passenger will be issued with the documentation required by the company to fly. The cost of the swab is € 40, to be paid directly to the Air Medical operator.

This is a temporary solution, activated by Bologna Airport in the urgent need to support its passengers following the new request from the Netherlands Government to try to stem the further spread of Covid in their country. The company is working on the activation of a broader service, which can also provide "classic" molecular swabs to be carried out 72 hours before boarding, upon request from other European and non-European countries.

In the meantime, the service of molecular swabs continues for all passengers arriving from the United Kingdom, as required by Italian legislation and carried out by the Bologna Local Health Authority at no cost to passengers.
